American artist Spencer Tunick is best known for bringing hundreds -- and sometimes thousands -- of participants together to pose for striking mass nude photographs.

But with Covid-19 sending him into lockdown in New York, Tunick has had to find a new medium for his work: video conferences. The artist and photographer's new project "Stay Apart Together" sees him asking groups of face mask-wearing participants to strip down and assume coordinated poses before he captures them in single collage-style screenshots.

Just when it feels like it's time to rug up, Australians are being asked to strip off - as part of a "pandemic panorama.

“People need that connection, need this sort of platonic, physical, naked art action.”

Tunick has started Stay Apart Together, a new project that takes the photographer’s most common themes – human connection, the power of mass action, the courage of baring yourself – and places them within this era of strain and isolation. Stay Apart Together involves Tunick hosting a 100-person video chat directing nude volunteers, all of whom are joining in from the confines of their homes. Instead of using a camera to capture the right moment, Tunick takes a screenshot.

Applications for Tunick’s latest project are now open – and Australia’s the first country in the world to get the call-up.

Victorian cafes and restaurants have so far been left out of the state government's plan to ease COVID-19 restrictions. As it stands, they'll only be able to serve takeaway for at least another three weeks.

Chrissie Maus, General Manager of the Chapel Street Precinct Association (CSPA) has stood up for the traders of Australia's largest retail precinct, saying many of its bars and cafes could safely open. During COVID-19, Chrissie hasn't missed a beat in protecting the 2,200+ business of the precinct. CSPA’s latest campaign, The World's Largest Drive Thru, is an initiative showcasing how Chapel Street is still open for business through takeaway.
