Cara Aprile, who has a background in dietetics, set her alarm for 5.30am every morning to prepare her daughter’s school lunches.
“I’m obviously very pedantic about what goes into her lunch boxes given that I am a dietitian,” Ms Aprile told news.com.au.

Eco-friendly cleaning product brand Pleasant State is among the latest crop of startups to seek funding through Birchal, after having initially bootstrapped its enterprise through an Indiegogo campaign.
The award-winning company is seeking expressions of interest to help fund its next stage of growth, as it seeks new domestic retail partnerships and expansion into global markets.

A young beauty entrepreneur who created her own eyelash growth serum is now selling one bottle every three minutes.
Kasey Giarratana, from Melbourne, used to spend $2400 every year eyelash extensions, but decided to instead invest that money elsewhere and launched Xali Organics in June 2021 selling a natural eyelash growth serum.
By using the product, the brand claims customers will notice longer, thicker lashes in as little as one to six weeks.

An urgent warning has been issued to Australians after a new teeth whitening trend surfaced is said to lead to 'damaging' consequences. Hundreds are turning to DIY methods to avoid medical bills only to be left with ongoing issues.
Eilidh Mackenzie-Hunter, teeth whitening specialist and Sydney founder of teeth whitening business LUXUP, told FEMAIL the results can be 'damaging' and 'catastrophic'.

A crowdfunding round for electric car-sharing platform evee hit its maximum target overnight of $1.6 million as retail investors flocked to grab a slice of the fast-moving company.
The former head of developer delight and media at Atlassian and the former marketplace director of Canva joined in on evee’s raise, enabling the company to push forward with its global aspirations.
The average investment from the 618 backers was $2,479 - well above the $1,600 average across Birchal’s platform - further demonstrating Australians' appetite to support the scaleup.
In addition, an extra $70,000 on top of the $1.6 million came through in the final hour of the raise - with those contributing to the oversubscription to land on a waitlist in case any existing investments fall through.
