Émotions is a premium four ply toilet paper brand that has 19 different characters of emotions and feelings to open up discussions surrounding the fluctuating emotions of sadness, tragedy, disappointment, happiness and more.

Kindship gives parents of disabled children a chance to return to their careers

Dog food start-up Lyka locks in $30m

Pet food start-up Lyka has closed one of the largest Series B funding rounds so far this quarter, banking $30 million as people increasingly seek alternatives to processed foods for their pooches. The company, which is predicted to change the multi-billion pet food industry by providing fresh food alternatives, has delivered more than 10 million freshly prepared, lightly cooked meals for Australian dogs.

World famous contemporary artist, Spencer, is returning to Australia for what could become one of his most iconic nude installations yet.  This time to support the cause of skin cancer awareness. The location is still a secret – but it will be a Sydney beach and the shoot will happen on Saturday November 26.

 

Spencer has a long association with Australia, having used Aussies as his muse four times previously. This will be Drew Lambert’s fourth time he has worked with the artist. Each installation generates huge media interest, and this launch day proves Australian media cannot get enough of the celebrated artist’s works.

New tech firm to slash energy bills for Aussies

European tech firm, 1komma5, is coming to Australia with an aim to slash electricity prices for households and small businesses by up to 120 per cent – with excess energy generated sold back to the grid. 1komma5 will open Apple style stores across Australia with Sydney’s first site set to open in March. This will be an addition to the company’s successful stores in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin in Germany, and Stockholm in Sweden.

Germans plot $100m Aussie climate tech takeovers

A conglomerate of European clean-tech entrepreneurs, including Porsche Ventures and a founder of Tesla’s European operations, has embarked on a $100 million spending spree to take a lead role in Australia’s move to low-emission households.

The conglomerate, which runs the German solar technology developer and retailer 1komma5°, has bought a controlling stake in Australia’s largest Tesla battery installer, Natural Solar. It also plans to invest up to €65 million ($99.7 million) more in the next 18 months, buying controlling stakes in similar “last mile” clean-tech companies around the nation.
