New equity and cryptocurrency trading app Dcypher is encouraging Australians to divorce their fund managers and take their investments into their own hands. Dcypher’s CEO and Director, David Bain, has told Australian Financial Review that historically retail investors have been “taken for a ride” and meant investors who don’t want to use fund managers have turned to other trading platforms that don’t offer advice, used “copy trading” strategies or harnessed information from social media influencers.
The former financial services lead at Amazon Web Services claims that Dchypher’s unique combination of algorithms and education could support investors to pursue their own strategies without paying large management fees. The new platform is set to disrupt the way Australians trade and has sparked some interest from the media. Check out this article from the Australian Financial Review, written by Lucy Dean, to find out why Dcypher is causing such a buzz.
